Your favourite song lyrics determine which one of four relationship types you are likely to experience, according to a new study. Psychologists at the University of Toronto said that if people are inclined to fear being abandoned, they will prefer lyrics to songs such as “Someone Like You” by Adele, but those who favour The Beatles’ “Love Me Do” are more than likely to be very secure in their relationships. "Lyrics matter, so pay attention to them,” said the university’s Dr Ravin Alaei.

‘Pasty war’ in Cornwall

“Pasty war” has broken out in Cornwall as Greggs faces bitter opposition to a new store in Truro, said The Telegraph. One resident described the chain as “the Devil’s spawn”, with another saying that any new stores that try to open in Cornwall “won’t last”. The new shop would be a short distance from Cornish pasty makers Rowe’s and Warrens, which claims to be the oldest producer in the world. In 2019, when Greggs opened its first store in Cornwall, it was forced to close after just nine months because of a lack of business.

Man sets Washington train record

A man has landed a Guinness World Record by visiting all Metro stations in the Washington DC area in eight hours and 54 minutes. Travel blogger Lucas Wall performed the feat on the first full day of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s Silver Line service. He told Fox News he took on the challenge “to raise awareness of this long-awaited transit expansion in the national capital region and set the mark transit racers must strive to beat”.
