A pigeon has been sold for the record fee of £1m. The retired racing bird, called Armando, was sold by auction house Pipa for 1,252,000 euros (£1.07 million) after a furious online bidding war lasting two weeks. The auctioneer said of the bird: “In football terms you have Messi and Ronaldo - it's that level.”
Hidden UFO spotted by pilot
A pilot says he spotted a UFO hovering 7,000ft over Las Vegas which is only visible through night vision goggles. When he radioed to air traffic control to report it, he was told they couldn’t see anything at all. “I can only see it, I’ve got night vision goggles on, I can only see through the goggles,” he explained. The controller replied: “Ooh, that’s awesome.”
Jesus statue 'weeps blood' over rising crime
A statue of baby Jesus has reportedly wept blood, prompting locals in Acapulco, Mexico, to believe it is a message from God over rising crime levels. A resident said “A lot of people have said that this is being done by the Devil while others believe that it is a message from God.” However, a priest said there could be a “rational explanation because not everything is a spiritual phenomenon”.
