A child with their head stuck in a potty, a hamster trapped between a toilet and a wall, and a bus driver locked in a loo - these are some of the strangest 999 calls received by the London Fire Brigade in the last three years. They were also summoned to a woman stuck in a tree while trying to retrieve a cat. The Brigade is encouraging the British public to use a “little bit of common sense” before calling for emergency assistance.
