Indian army ‘finds footprints of the Yeti’

The Indian army says that its mountaineers have discovered giant footprints of the Yeti. The army’s Twitter account claims its mountain expedition team made the sighting of the mythical giant snowman's traces in eastern Nepal. It posted photographs of the footprints.

Stray pig becomes a mascot in Illinois town

A loose pig in a town in Illinois has become an unofficial local mascot after avoiding capture for months. Herrin residents said they first spotted the pig, who has been named Porkchop, running loose around the start of the year. An animal control officer said: “It's a citizen at this point for all we know.”

Taylor Swift fans go wild over video clues

Taylor Swift has got her fans in a frenzy with her latest video. Admitting that “everything in the video is symbolic of something,” she said she goes to “a lot of effort” to leave clues for her “very clever” fans. As those fans, known as ‘Swifties’, feverishly speculate over the video’s intricate details, the singer said some of the clues are designed to be worked out up to a year in the future.
