Woman hoping for Mariah Carey cake gets Marie Curie instead

An English woman who asked her colleagues for a Mariah Carey-themed cake for her birthday has ended up celebrating with an image of Nobel prize-winner Marie Curie instead. The woman’s cousin tweeted the error, saying “My cousin in England told her colleagues she wanted a Mariah Carey birthday cake. They misunderstood, and this is the cake they made her instead. It’s Marie Curie, looking very festive.” More than 172,000 people liked the tweet, with 36,000 people retweeting it.

Trump continues to be mocked for ‘Prince of Whales’ blunder

Last week, Donald Trump made an awkward error on Twitter by referring to Prince Charles as the “Prince of Whales”. Over the past week, he has been mocked by TV hosts, authors, YouTubers and more, and over the weekend, WalesOnline joined in changing its Twitter name to Whales Online and added a whale emoji.

Seventh sighting of Loch Ness monster ‘filmed by couple’

The Loch Ness Monster is “definitely black and a fair size,” according to a couple who claim to have filmed the mysterious creature while on holiday in the Scottish Highlands claim. Gloria and Ian Davidson spotted a dark creature as they drove alongside the lake last week. Their sighting has been accepted and recorded as the seventh official sighting of Nessie by the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register.
