Husband shocked after matching with wife on Tinder

A husband was surprised to find his wife on Tinder while she was away on business – and even more surprised when he swiped right to match with her and found she had already said “yes” to his profile. The man (who claimed it was a “lonely night” when he downloaded the app but he “didn’t have any intentions”) said: “I thought maybe a bot stole her picture. But I read her profile... it’s her. There’s even a picture of her where I am cut out.” When the couple matched, he said, it opened “a huge can of worms”.

Pub closes ‘after customers break anti-texting rule’

Reports claim that a pub in Greater Manchester closed after staff allowed drinkers to flout the chain's ban on swearing and sending texts. Officials from the brewery are thought to have turned up at the Cheshire Midland pub in Hale and found customers breaking the edicts. Stock was removed from the bar and the pub has remained closed since last Thursday, although no official reason for the closure has been given.

Customer tells waiter God will pay for food

A woman is facing charges after police say she ordered food from a restaurant in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and told the waiter, “This one’s on God,” before running off. Delila Hernandez was arrested earlier this week. Police say that after she told the waiter that God would pay for the food, the waiter told her: “That’s not how this works”.
