Serial toilet clogger jailed in the US

A serial toilet clogger who blocked bathrooms in Wisconsin pleaded guilty to four counts of criminal damage to property and was sentenced to 150 days in jail for his crimes. “I need to make things right and pray for forgiveness every day,” said Patrick D. Beeman after he was sentenced.

Rochester Cathedral opens golf course to attract young

Rochester Cathedral in Kent has opened a crazy golf course to try and attract a younger crowd. Reverend Rachel Phillips said of the course, which features a bridge: “The course forms the centrepiece of a Building Bridges theme running through the summer. We hope that visitors will reflect on the bridges that need to be built in their own lives and in our world today.”

Football team ends 73-match winless streak

A club dubbed the UK’s “worst professional football team” has ended its 73-game winless streak, which stretched back 840 days. Fort William grabbed a 5-2 win against Nairn County. Ian Blackford, the SNP’s Westminster leader, said: “No matter how many times they got knocked down, they dusted themselves down and went again.”
