Voters in a Pembrokeshire village will be casting their ballots in the local fish and chip shop today. The usual station is being repaired, so polling will be in a chippy in Llanddewi Velfrey, near Narberth. “The council approached us about putting it in our chip shop,” said Kelly Philpin of Hank Marvin. “We have a restaurant there, so were happy to help despite it being an unusual location.”

Man pulls 32-foot tapeworm out of his bottom
A man in Thailand pulled a 32ft-long tapeworm out of his own backside while using the toilet. Recalling his fateful visit to the facilities, Kritsada Ratprachoom, said: “I felt like I wasn't finished defecating, like something was left. Turns out there was something sticking out of my bottom.” He took a photograph of the slithering being before flushing it down the loo.
