‘Luckiest man’ cheats death ten times
A former Royal Marine has been called “the luckiest man alive” after dodging death on ten occasions. Wes Grant has survived being shot at by the Taliban and pirates and has pulled through a stroke caused by a heart condition. The 37-year-old has also been stabbed and set on fire, and survived both a serious bicycle crash and a malfunction of his skydiving equipment.
Cat-friendly music helps felines at vets
A new study has found that playing “cat-friendly” music could calm felines during visits to the vet. The researchers found that compared with listening to both classical music and no music, cats appeared to be less stressed during their vet visit when they were played “cat-specific” music, with purring and suckling sounds layered into the tempos and frequencies.
