Doctor issues advice on gas spreading coronavirus

An Australian doctor has addressed the question of whether the new coronavirus can be spread through flatulence. Speaking on an Australian Broadcasting Corporation podcast, Dr Norman Swan advised: “Don’t fart close to other people, and... don’t fart with your bottom bare.” There is no published data to prove that wind can spread the new virus, but as comedian Stephen Colbert says “I’m hoping that’s pretty much always the advice.”
