Uber drones fight against traffic pollution

Drivers stuck in traffic have found themselves being "heckled" by a swarm of drones promoting the car-sharing service Uber in Mexico City. The drones, carrying slogans scolding solo drivers, say traffic pollution is the reason they "can never see the volcanoes", a reference to the smog that frequently obscures the view of two nearby mountains.

Woman 'gives birth to frog'

Local media outlets in the Gokwe region of Zimbabwe claim a woman has given birth to a frog. Precious Nyathi and her husband were expecting their first child, but instead produced a "frog-like creature", local newspapers said. After the "frog" died, it was burnt in front of a crowd of onlookers by a prophet who claimed the couple had been "bewitched" by a jealous neighbour.

Man saves dog from imaginary fire

A man has been arrested after breaking into his neighbour's home to "rescue" their dog from a non-existent house fire. Police say Michael Orchard, from New York, had taken LSD and cough syrup before knocking on the doors of several nearby homes to alert them to a blaze. He then allegedly drove his car through a fence and on to his neighbour's property, kicked down the back door and "saved" the family dog. He was found by police with the pet in his arms. He has been charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
