Chinese officials have reportedly banned the English letter “N” from the internet in a crackdown on online criticism of President Xi Jinping’s move to become leader for life. Censors have also banned several Chinese phrases, as well as any mention of certain texts, including George Orwell’s Animal Farm.

Red sauce on face leads to charges in meatball theft

A Pennsylvania man has been arrested and charged in relation to the theft of a pot of meatballs. The victim called police when he discovered the meatballs were missing, and saw the suspect standing in front of his home with red sauce on his face and clothes. The empty pot was found a short distance away on the footpath.

Suspects caught after fleeing into police station

Police in Arizona have revealed that two suspects were caught by officers after the pair fled into a police station. The two men ran from police who were approaching a “suspicious vehicle”, before running through a well-signposted gate at the police station and jumping a fence into a secure area of the facility.
