Eight Argentinian police officers have been fired after half a ton of marijuana went missing from a police warehouse. The officers initially claimed that mice had eaten the drug, but experts from Buenos Aires University said rodents would not have mistaken cannabis for food.

‘Singing road’ to be dismantled after locals complain

Residents of the Dutch village of Jelsum are celebrating after local authorities agreed to remove a “singing road”. A tune is created when a car travels over strategically placed rumble strips, and locals had complained that it creates a cacophony of noise during periods of heavy traffic.

American man ‘too tall’ for Korean basketball

The South Korean Basketball League has revealed it is imposing a 200cm (6ft 7in) height limit on foreign players. Current international player David Simon, who is 203cm tall, will be banned from the league despite having been part of it since 2010.
