A mother has stumbled upon an unorthodox method of removing limescale from taps - a combination of vinegar and a condom. Writing on Facebook she suggested: “White vinegar in a condom left overnight on the taps, no scrubbing after just used a sponge to wipe.” Asked how she came upon such a method, she answered that she didn't have any food bags, rubber gloves or balloons at home, but did have access to “loads of free condoms”.
