De Gea to PSG?
David de Gea could be on his way out of Manchester United after the Spanish goalkeeper reportedly rejected the club’s final contract offer.
The Sun says that De Gea has “made it clear” that he will not extend his deal beyond next season and his decision is “piling pressure on Old Trafford chiefs to sell him this summer”.
French giants Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the 28-year-old and could plan a £60m bid in the current window. Or they could wait until next year to land him on a free transfer.
Captain Pogba
Sources have told ESPN that Manchester United will offer Paul Pogba the club captaincy in an effort to convince the midfielder to stay at Old Trafford. The Frenchman has been linked with Real Madrid.
Solskjaer wants Rakitic
Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic is a target for Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. La Liga champions Barca are willing to sell the Croatian international but they value the 31-year-old at €55m (£48.3m). (Daily Express)
Varane staying at Real
Another La Liga star recently linked with Manchester United is Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane. However, the French defender says he is staying at the Bernabeu. He said: “I am going to remain [at Real Madrid] next season as I’m sure that we’re going to respond in a strong manner.” (Marca)
