The Daily Mirror reports that Emery has been left with a budget of only £40m, so in order to rebuild the Gunners boss will need to sell some players.

The Daily Star adds that Emery has warned his Arsenal “flops” that they may need to leave as he aims to revamp the squad.

Big names who could become potential casualties include Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The club’s financial state and lack of Champions League football means they will miss out on Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha. However, the Mirror says that Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser is still an option.

Lukaku to join Conte at Inter?

Antonio Conte has replaced Luciano Spalletti as head coach of Inter Milan, Sky Sports reports. The former Chelsea boss has signed a three-year contract at the San Siro and on his target list for new signings is Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku. The Times says United will allow the 26-year-old to leave but Inter will need to pay around £80m for the Belgian.

United eye Rabiot

According to reports in Spain Manchester United are favourites to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer. The 24-year-old’s contract at PSG expires on 1 July. (Mundo Deportivo)

City reject Sane bid

German champions Bayern Munich will consider making another move for Leroy Sane after seeing a £70.7m bid for the winger rejected by Manchester City. Bayern are on the hunt for wide players as both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are leaving the club this summer. (The Guardian)

Cancelo in, Mangala out?

Italian outlet Tuttosport reports that Manchester City have bid £53m for Juventus defender Joao Cancelo. While in Portugal O Jogo says that City’s French blocker Eliaquim Mangala is set to return to Porto.

Aguero wants Independiente return

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has reiterated his desire to return to boyhood club Independiente before his career ends. The Argentine said: “Obviously the fans [of Independiente] are excited about the return, but I have a contract with Manchester City and I try to focus on these two years that I have got left. Then later I will see [what I’ll do] but obviously, the Rojo [Independiente] is always my priority.” (Sky Sports)

Rodriguez not keen on Prem move

Real Madrid want to make some cash by selling James Rodriguez to a Premier League club this summer. One problem though, it’s claimed that the Colombian is “unwilling” to go to England. He could head to Italy with either Napoli or Juventus. (Marca)

James in demand

Leicester City and Manchester United are both keen on Chelsea youngster Reece James. The 19-year-old full-back is valued at around £15m. (The Sun)

Coutinho can ‘Phil’ Hazard’s boots

Chelsea will target Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Eden Hazard - providing they overturn or delay their transfer ban.

Belgian star Hazard admitted after the Europa League final that he is likely to leave Stamford Bridge and The Daily Telegraph reports that Real are preparing a £106m bid for the playmaker.

The Daily Star and Daily Mirror back pages both claim that Coutinho is Chelsea’s top target to replace Hazard. The Star’s back page headline says “Blues to Phil gap” while the Mirror reports that “he’ll Phil Eden’s boots”.

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the ex-Liverpool attacker.
