PSG favourites to sign De Ligt

Ajax and Netherlands defender Matthijs de Ligt has been linked with most of Europe’s top clubs and according to reports Paris Saint-Germain are now favourites to sign the 19-year-old.

Manchester United and Barcelona were leading the chase for De Ligt but ESPN says that PSG are in pole position.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Juventus have also been linked with De Ligt along with Man Utd, Barcelona and PSG.

Spanish newspaper Marca reports that United are out of the running with only PSG and Barcelona remaining in the race.

De Jong: join me at Barcelona

Frenkie de Jong has signed for Barcelona from Ajax and Sky Sports reports that the midfielder is urging Dutch team-mate De Ligt to follow him to the Camp Nou. “I hope De Ligt will come with me to Barca, I hope so,” said De Jong. “Of course we have talked about his future, but I am clear that it is a matter that he and his family must decide. What I can not do is influence his decision. It is something that he must resolve in the next few days with his own. He knows what I would like.”

Rashford is Barca’s ‘Plan B’

The Daily Mail reports that should Barcelona fail to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid or Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain they will turn their attentions to Marcus Rashford. Spanish newspaper Sport says the Manchester United and England forward has the versatility to be an “ideal complement” for Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Tielemans to replace Pogba?

Should Paul Pogba leave Manchester United this summer his place in the Old Trafford dressing room could go to Youri Tielemans. The Monaco midfielder starred on loan at Leicester City this season and is being considered by United. Pogba is a target for Real Madrid and Juventus. (Independent)

Maguire wants City move

Leicester City and England defender Harry Maguire is set to snub Manchester United because he wants a move to Manchester City. Maguire is being earmarked by City as a replacement for Vincent Kompany. (Daily Mail)

Maddison to stay

Another Leicester player in demand is James Maddison. The playmaker has been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham in recent weeks, however, the 21-year-old intends to stay with Leicester. (Daily Mail)

Draxler offered to Spurs

Paris Saint-Germain have offered Julian Draxler to Tottenham Hotspur. The German, who is valued at £35m, could be a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen. (Daily Mirror)

Cancelo exchange

Manchester City could offer Danilo and cash to Juventus for right-back Joao Cancelo. Juve are reportedly interested in Brazilian Danilo. (The Guardian)

Digne and Rose to swap?

Another potential swap deal on the cards involves Everton left-back Lucas Digne and Tottenham left-back Danny Rose. Tottenham are interested in Digne and according to reports Everton could propose a deal which would see them sign Rose and also receive cash in exchange. (Daily Star)

Carrasco considering offer

Yannick Carrasco looks set to leave Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang this summer after revealing he has a transfer offer “on the table” and negotiations with his agent are “progressing well”. Arsenal have long been linked with the Belgium international. (Daily Mirror)

Kolasinac to the Camp Nou?

The fallout from Arsenal’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League continues with reports that Sead Kolasinac could accept an offer from Barcelona. Apparently the 25-year-old is on the Catalan club’s shortlist as a potential new left-back signing. (talkSPORT)
