Antoine Griezmann looks set to join Barcelona but could Man Utd hijack the deal?

Premier League transfer gossip and rumours

Where will Griezmann go?

Antoine Griezmann will sign for Barcelona this summer according to Atletico Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin.

Spanish newspaper Sport reports that the Atletico chief made the claim during an interview with Radio Estadio.

Gil Marin said: “I know exactly where he’s going to play. I’ve known since March. In Barcelona.”

When asked about his future Griezmann said recently: “You need to be a little patient. It’s too soon. I’m the first person who wants to say my future plans but at the moment we have to wait.

“I don’t know if I’ll remain in La Liga. Perhaps in two weeks we’ll know more.”

Despite reports that Griezmann will sign for Barca, The Sun says that Manchester United are planning to “hijack” the deal.

The paper reports that United are prepared to “smash” their transfer record by offering £95m to Atletico for the French forward.

Fekir back on Anfield hit-list

Liverpool have “reignited” their interest in Lyon forward Nabil Fekir. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp remains keen on the French playmaker but the Anfield club will not pay the £53m that was agreed with Lyon last year. (Daily Mail)

Milan target Lovren

Sky in Italy reports that AC Milan want to sign Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren. However, The Times adds that Liverpool will only consider selling the Croatian if they receive an offer of at least £25m.

Ndombele to cost £66.6m

Another midfielder on Tottenham’s radar is Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele. The 22-year-old has won six caps for France and Lyon have set a price tag of €75m (£66.6m). However, Spurs value him at €50m (£44.5m). (The Guardian)

Palmieri happy at the Bridge

Emerson Palmieri has been linked with a move to Juventus but the Chelsea defender says he is happy at Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old said: “I have a contract with Chelsea where I am happy, especially after this Europa League. For the rest, I have received nothing.” (Daily Star)

Torreira open to Italy return

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira was this week linked with a return to Italy with AC Milan and he has done nothing to dispel the speculation during an interview with Uruguayan outlet Ovacion. When asked if he was happy in England, the former Sampdoria star said: “I don’t know if there are many things that I enjoy. I think it was better in Italy.” (Daily Mirror)

Pogba fee set at £150m

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Daniel James from Swansea City, but it’s a potential departure from Old Trafford that is making the headlines.

Paul Pogba has been linked with Real Madrid and according to the Daily Mirror United have told the Spanish giants that the French midfielder will cost them £150m.
