Premier League transfer gossip and rumours

Eto’o: Barca a better fit for Salah

Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o believes that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah should sign for the Spanish champions.

The BBC reports that Egyptian forward Salah has been linked with Real Madrid but Eto’o has urged him to move to the Camp Nou.

Ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea player Eto’o said: “Barcelona would be a better fit. Real gave me the opportunity to leave Africa but I know Barcelona’s style and I think it would be better for him.

“If he has the chance to play in the best league of the world, which is the Spanish one, he has to sign for Barcelona. Mo has everything to be one of the best players in the world.”

Asensio in exchange for Eriksen?

Break the bank for Zaha

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery will ask the club’s board to “break the bank” for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha. Ivory Coast international Zaha, who was a boyhood Arsenal fan, is expected to cost at least £55m. (The Sun)
