North London rivals set for double battle

Arsenal and Tottenham are on a collision course for the signings of two players during the summer transfer window. 

The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal have joined their north London rivals in the race for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

The Spanish midfielder is happy at Real but may be tempted by playing in the Premier League. Spanish newspaper AS adds that Real will not consider bids of less than £47.7m for the 22-year-old.

Another player who is linked with Arsenal and Spurs is St Etienne “wonderkid” William Saliba. The Mail says that the Gunners have opened talks with the French club to discuss a move for the £27m-rated 18-year-old defender. 

Milan boss wants Torreira reunion

Arsenal are also facing a fight to keep midfielder Lucas Torreira. The Uruguayan is a target for AC Milan and the Italians are keen on bringing the 23-year-old back to Serie A. Milan have appointed Marco Giampaolo as their new head coach and he was Torreira’s former boss at Sampdoria. (Daily Mirror)

£25m for Tierney

Arsenal remain keen on Celtic’s Kieran Tierney but will have to spend half of their summer budget to bring the Scottish international to north London. Celtic want £25m for the 22-year-old left-back. (The Daily Telegraph)

Saints’ summer overhaul

Southampton are looking to sell five senior first-team players as part of a summer squad overhaul. The Saints will need to offload some players as they are keen on signing a striker, centre-back and wing-back. Birmingham’s Che Adams is one player on Southampton’s target list. (The Daily Telegraph)

Maguire to be left in limbo?

Could Harry Maguire be left in limbo at Leicester? It’s reported that the England defender is set to sign for Manchester City but the Premier League champions will not match Leicester’s £80m valuation. Manchester United are prepared to outspend their rivals but Maguire would snub Old Trafford as he has his heart set on a move to City. (The Sun)

Serie A sides want Spurs star

Another England international who looks set to move clubs is Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier. The right-back is at the centre of a £25m tug of war between Italian sides Napoli and Juventus. (Daily Mirror)

Reds close in on Dutch youngster

FC Zwolle defender Sepp van den Berg is close to sealing a move to Liverpool. The 17-year-old Dutch Under-19 international has also been tracked by Bayern Munich, Ajax and PSV Eindhoven. (Daily Mail)

Kovacic to leave the Bridge

Mateo Kovacic is set to leave Chelsea following his season-long loan from Real Madrid. The Croatian’s future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt following Maurizio Sarri’s departure. (ESPN)

Pogba out, Sancho in at United?

According to reports Paris Saint-Germain have offered Brazilian ace Neymar to Manchester United in a swap deal for Paul Pogba. United are not keen on the exchange but could be willing to sell Pogba and striker Romelu Lukaku in order to raise funds to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
