Atletico line up Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette to replace Antoine Griezmann

Lacazette to replace Griezmann?

With Antoine Griezmann likely to sign for Barcelona this summer it means that Atletico Madrid are in the market for a new forward.

Who could they bring in to replace Griezmann? The Daily Mirror reports that Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette is being lined up to take the place of his fellow Frenchman. 

The Mirror says Atletico boss Diego Simeone needs to find a proven goalscorer and can offer Lacazette, 27, a return to Champions League football.  

Willian also a target

It’s not just Alexandre Lacazette who is linked with Atletico. The Spaniards are also interested in Chelsea and Brazil winger Willian. (The Guardian

Bale and Pogba swap 

Real Madrid remain interested in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and according to reports head coach Zinedine Zidane wants to offload Gareth Bale to the Red Devils as part of a deal. (Daily Mail

Maguire move rumbles on

The Daily Telegraph reports that Leicester City have told Manchester United they will need to pay £90m to sign Harry Maguire. However, England defender Maguire is also wanted by Premier League champions Manchester City. Sky Sports says that City will match United’s £70m bid for the 26-year-old, but Leicester have “no desire or need to sell”.

Ake also on City’s hit-list

Harry Maguire is not the only defender linked with Manchester City. It’s reported that Bournemouth and Holland centre-half Nathan Ake is “likely to sign” for the champions this summer. (Manchester Evening News

Perez to the Foxes

Leicester City have seen a £30m bid accepted by Newcastle United for striker Ayoze Perez. It’s understood a deal is in place subject to a medical and personal terms being agreed. (Sky Sports News

Arnautovic wants out

Marko Arnautovic has handed in a transfer request to West Ham United after the east London club rejected a €22m (£19.7m) bid for the striker from a Chinese Super League side. (The Daily Telegraph

Fekir in - if Ozil is out

Arsenal have reportedly made contact with Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir over a summer move to the Emirates. However, a deal will only happen if the Gunners can sell German midfielder Mesut Ozil. (Daily Mail

Bordeaux court Koscielny

Ligue 1 side Bordeaux are keen to sign Laurent Koscielny from Arsenal. Bordeaux want the French defender to replace Sevilla-bound Jules Kounde. (Daily Mail

New deal for Loftus-Cheek 

Chelsea and England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, 23, has reportedly agreed a new long-term contract with the Stamford Bridge club. It’s understood to be a five-year deal worth £150,000 a week. (The Daily Telegraph

Dembele wants Barca stay

Ousmane Dembele has been linked with Liverpool and Bayern Munich in recent months but according to reports in France the 22-year-old forward wants to remain at Barcelona. (L’Equipe

Eriksen future in doubt

Despite celebrating the double signing of Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, it’s not all good news for Tottenham fans today. Spurs are facing a “major dilemma” over midfield star Christian Eriksen. The Dane, who is out of contract next year, is wanted by Real Madrid.
