Eden Hazard: Chelsea to Real Madrid

Belgium captain Eden Hazard is being lined up by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to be the Spanish club’s next “golden galactico”, The Guardian reports. 

With Cristiano Ronaldo looking likely to move to Juventus, Real will be in the market for a superstar signing and Perez has identified Chelsea star Hazard as the man to replace CR7.

In fact the Guardian adds that Real are ready to “roll out the red carpet” for Hazard and Perez has “supposedly reserved the No.7 shirt and a parking spot by the same number at the club’s Ciudad training complex for the Belgium forward”.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric believes Ronaldo will remain at the Bernabeu. Modric, who has captained Croatia to the World Cup semi-finals, told Spanish newspaper AS: “Let’s see what happens. I don’t think he’s going to go and I would like him to stay because he’s the best player in the world. He means a lot and hopefully he will stay.”

Hirving Lozano: PSV to Manchester United

According to reports Manchester United are set to open negotiations with Dutch side PSV over a move for Mexico’s World Cup star Hirving Lozano. Talks will start “in the coming days”. (Daily Star via TMW)

Barca want £26m for Mina

Barcelona will sell Colombia defender Yerry Mina only if they receive a bid of at least €30m (£26m). Mina, who scored three goals for Colombia at the World Cup, has been linked with Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton. (ESPN via Mundo Deportivo)

Jean Michael Seri: Nice to Chelsea/Arsenal

Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri has reportedly travelled to London and is rumoured to be in contact with both Chelsea and Arsenal. (Daily Star)

Champions close in on double deal

Manchester City are close to sealing deals for Napoli midfielder Jorginho and Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez. The Daily Telegraph says that Napoli have left Jorginho out of their pre-season training camp, while the Daily Mail reports that Mahrez is set for a medical at the Premier League champions in the next 48 hours after a £60m fee was agreed with Leicester.

West Ham target trio

West Ham United have been linked with moves for three players - former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, Borussia Dortmund forward Andriy Yarmolenko and Corinthians defender Fabian Balbuena. Midfielder Wilshere is a free agent after his Arsenal contract expired. (The Times)

No Reds interest in Grealish

Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish had been linked with a move to Liverpool, but it’s reported that the Anfield club have “absolutely no interest” in signing the 22-year-old. Tottenham are now favourites to sign the midfielder. (Liverpool Echo)
