Premier League transfer news and rumours
Salgado: Kane is the No.9 Real need
Former Real Madrid defender Michel Salgado says the Spanish club should sign Tottenham and England star Harry Kane.
Salgado told talkSPORT that he believes Neymar is Real’s No.1 transfer target, but Kane would fit the bill for a new No.9.
“The first target I think is going to be Neymar for sure,” said Salgado. “And then I don’t think we will have enough money to get Harry Kane. But obviously he is the kind of No.9 we are looking for.
“So let’s see what happens but I think the fans would like him to come to Real Madrid but [Spurs chairman Daniel] Levy won’t like it.”
Tottenham striker Kane scored 30 Premier League goals last season and is currently captaining England at the World Cup. He has scored six goals in Russia to lead the Three Lions to the semi-finals, where they play Croatia tomorrow.
