Premier League transfer news and rumours

Hazard sticks with Chelsea... for now

Chelsea fans would have enjoyed their weekend after beating Arsenal on Saturday and then learning that Eden Hazard has elected to stick with the club this season.

The Belgian had been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer but finally ended the speculation on Saturday.

Speaking after the 3-2 win over Arsenal he said: “For now, I'm happy. I still have two years of contract and we'll see what happens. I will not leave [this year].

“The fans like me a lot. I feel good here. We’ll see what happens in a year or two years.”

However, ESPN notes that “Chelsea know the uncertainty over Hazard's future will only be settled once he is either sold or signs a long-term contract extension”.

The website argues that if the Blues want to keep Hazard they will not only have to offer him a bumper new deal they will need to challenge Manchester City for honours.

Chelsea and Man Utd could move for Ramsey

Chelsea and Man United are monitoring Aaron Ramsey’s contract situation at Arsenal, reports The Sun

The midfielder will be a free agent next summer and the Gunners are anxious to prevent that happening. But a deal is yet to be reached.

“It is understood talks began over fresh terms as far back as last year, but there has been little movement since.

“Ramsey wants a bumper increase on his £110,000-a-week wages after becoming a senior members of the Emirates dressing room,” says the paper.

Liverpool want £27m for Origi

Liverpool are prepared to sell striker Divock Origi, who is surplus to requirements at Anfield. The 23-year-old is wanted by Borussia Dortmund but the Reds are not prepared accept anything less than £27m for Origi. (Liverpool Echo)

Karius set for Liverpool exit

Liverpool keeper Loris Karius could exit Anfield and head to Besiktas on loan, with a view to making the deal permanent. Karius, who endured a nightmare in the Champions League final, has been replaced between the sticks by Brazilian Alisson Becker, and the Reds also have Simon Mignolet to act as understudy. Everton mull £23m Lookman bid

German side Red Bull Leipzig have increased their offer for Everton winger Ademola Lookman to £22m. The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Leipzig and the club initially offered £12m for him in July.  (Sky Sports)

Spurs consider Marchisio move

Spurs have been linked with a move for free agent Claudio Marchisio, who has been released by Juventus. However, Tottenham would have to cut players from their squad to make room for the 32-year-old defender so a deal is unlikely. (Football.London)
