Defenders set to stay with Tottenham after talks over moves to Europe come to nothing

Defenders going nowhere

It seems that the Tottenham pair of Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld will be staying in north London for at least the first half of the season. According to Talksport, the Lilywhites “have no bids on the table” for either Rose or Alderweireld, scotching rumours that the duo would be packing their bags before the end of the month.
