PSG target Sanchez as Man Utd boss Mourinho eyes defender and striker

Premier League transfer news and rumours

Alexis Sanchez: Manchester United to Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester United misfit Alexis Sanchez could be handed a way out of Old Trafford next summer by Paris Saint-Germain.

The French champions are planning a “shock swoop”, The Sun reports. The Chilean player has struggled to make an impact following his move to United from Arsenal last January.

The 29-year-old earns £505,000-a-week so PSG will look to take him “on the cheap” or even on a free transfer.

United will back Mourinho

Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho will have the backing of the Old Trafford board in the January transfer market. Mourinho reportedly wants a new striker and central defender. He could be given up to £100m to spend in the new year if the right deals can be made. (The Guardian)

Real fans don’t rate Bale

Could Gareth Bale’s time in Spain soon come to an end? Real Madrid have struggled in La Liga this season and coach Julen Lopetegui was fired after last weekend’s 5-1 loss against Barcelona. Following the El Clasico thrashing, the Spanish newspaper Marca asked Real fans which players were to blame for the team’s poor results. Welsh forward Bale came top of the poll with more than 43,000 votes.

Suso: AC Milan to Chelsea

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is keen on AC Milan ace Suso and the Blues have taken the “first steps” towards signing the Spaniard. According to reports, Atletico Madrid are also interested in the former Liverpool attacker. (Daily Express)

London rivals target Toon skipper

Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles is being monitored by Tottenham and Chelsea. The defender has a contract with Newcastle until 2023 but the Toon could face a battle to keep the 24-year-old. (Newcastle Chronicle)

Phil Foden: Manchester City to Juventus

Italian giants Juventus are keen to sign Manchester City’s teenage midfielder Phil Foden. The 18-year-old’s contract expires at the end of next season and if a new deal is not agreed he could be available for “development costs of £175,000”. (Daily Mirror)

Spurs line up move for Ajax keeper

Malcom to leave Barcelona?

Brazilian winger Malcom could be set to leave Barcelona in the new year after failing to establish himself in the first team. The 21-year-old joined Barca from Bordeaux in a £36.5m deal this summer but has reportedly asked to leave the club in January if his situation doesn’t change. Tottenham and Arsenal were previously keen to sign him and could make a move. (Daily Mail)

Rabiot to turn down PSG contract

French midfielder Adrien Rabiot is reportedly set to turn down a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain. The 23-year-old will be available on a free transfer next summer when his current PSG deal expires. Liverpool are one of the interested clubs. (Calciomercato)

Rodriguez wanted by Prem clubs

A number of Premier League clubs have reportedly offered lucrative deals to James Rodriguez. The Colombian, who’s currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid, has been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool. (Bild)
