Hazard won't rule out Real Madrid
Eden Hazard has ruled out a move to French side Paris Saint-Germain, but has left the door open for a move to Real Madrid in the summer.
The Chelsea star has been consistently linked with the Spanish giants and was said to be close to a move in the summer.
During an appearance on Canal Football Club on French TV the Belgian said: “For now I’m staying at Chelsea. I have one year left on my contract after this year. Moving this winter is impossible. I can’t leave in January because of the club and the supporters.
“It will be possible in the summer, but it’s possible that I spend my whole career at Chelsea.”
Those comments will only fuel speculation linking Hazard to a move to Real Madrid, which has not gone away since the summer, says Goal.com.
“If anything, the struggles of Madrid in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo's departure to Juventus have only increased chatter of their possible interest in the Belgium international, even as soon as January.
“Hazard again moved to rebut any talk of him making a move this January, but also was careful not to rule out a change in the future.”
AC Milan plot Fabregas raid
Hazard may not be leaving in January, but the Blues could lose Cesc Fabregas in the new year according to the Daily Mail.
The paper claims that the Spanish midfielder, defender Gary Cahill and young centre-back Andreas Christensen are all wanted by AC Milan and that the Italian side are “eyeing up a sensational triple raid”.
“According to a growing number of reports in Italy, Milan have been in direct conversation with Chelsea via club director Leonardo, who is keen to make additions to the squad,” says the paper.
Fabregas and Cahill are out of contract in the summer, so the Blues may try to cash in before the season ends. However, loan deals are also under consideration, says the paper.
Liverpool eye Dembele and Neymar switch
Liverpool and Arsenal will be watching developments at Barcelona closely, amid reports that the Spanish side will offer Ousmane Dembele to PSG in a swap deal that could involve the return of Neymar.
French forward Dembele, who was earmarked to replace Neymar at the Camp Nou, has failed to impress since his £96m move from Borussia Dortmund and has been linked with a move to Anfield or the Emirates.
The Catalan side are hoping to recoup most of their outlay by selling the Frenchman, with the Gunners and Liverpool said to be keen.
But The Sun reports: “Barcelona have reportedly been in touch with Neymar’s representatives over a potential transfer, 18 months after the Brazilian ace completed his record-breaking £195million move to PSG.
“To increase chances of making the shocking reunion a reality, the Catalan giants are considering involving Dembele in a deal with the Parisians.”
Arsenal eye Man Utd youngster
Highly-rated Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira could quit Old Trafford next year to join Arsenal or Chelsea.
The 22-year-old Brazilian has been tipped for great things, but apparently Jose Mourinho is ready to let him leave.
“Pereira’s current deal is due to expire in the summer, although United have a year’s option, but it is understood they are ready to sell in January and there is no shortage of interest,” says website Team Talk.
“The likes of Inter Milan, Valencia and Monaco are all keen on the 22-year-old, but he has his heart set on staying in England, and now there is a battle between Arsenal and Chelsea.”
United are hoping to claim a fee of around £10m for the youngster.
Spurs close in on Berge
Spurs are “leading the race” to sign 20-year-old Norwegian starlet Sander Berge from Genk and could finalise a deal in January.
The Daily Mirror says £20m-rated Berge is also wanted by Arsenal, Everton and West Ham, but Spurs are ready to make a move and see the youngster as a replacement for Mousa Dembele or Victor Wanyama in central midfield, with either or both players set to leave.
Inter want City defender Mangala
Inter Milan are interested in forgotten Man City defender Eliaquim Mangala, and will sign him in the summer when his contract at the Etihad expires. Mangala has suffered injury problems and has not made a single appearance this season as he struggles with a knee problem. (Football-Italia.net)
