Arsenal transfer news: Aaron Ramsey, Anthony Martial, Ousmane Dembele, Nadiem Amiri

Juventus want an answer from Welsh midfielder Ramsey

Ramsey dithering

Decision day is approaching for Aaron Ramsey, says The Sun, with the paper claiming that the Arsenal midfielder is “under pressure to agree Juventus transfer with Adrien Rabiot lined up as alternative”.

The Welsh playmaker, who scored a penalty in last night’s 3-0 Europa League win at Vorskla Poltava, is expected to leave the Emirates at the end of the season after the Gunners pulled out of contract renewal negotiations.

That has prompted Juventus to table a lucrative offer to Ramsey. The Sun says the Italian champions “have put together a package worth £200,000 per week over four years” but they are beginning to run out of patience with the 27-year-old’s dithering.

Hammers time?

Consequently Juventus will turn to Adrien Rabiot if they have no response by January. The French midfielder has become increasingly unsettled at Paris Saint-Germain in recent months, and he appeared only briefly as a substitute in their 2-1 win against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Four years Ramsey’s junior, Juventus are ready to turn their attention to Rabiot if the Welshman continues to waver.

If Juventus do decide against making a move for Ramsey, it’s believed that Bayern Munich and Roma will look to lure him from the Emirates.

The Daily Express, however, says that he could end up joining West Ham United because he doesn’t want to leave London.

Martial and Dembele

There’s a double transfer whammy in the Daily Star with the paper claiming that Arsenal could be about to make a play for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial “by guaranteeing him first-team football”.

The France international was linked with a move away from Old Trafford during the summer. Although the 22-year-old stayed loyal, it’s rumoured that he still wants more regular action and Arsenal boss Unai Emery is “keen” to grant him his wish.

In addition, the Star says that Emery is weighing up a move for Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele. Emery is unconcerned by reports of the 21-year-old’s bad attitude and according to the Star Barca chiefs are “ready to cash in if they can make back the £135.5m they spent on him”.

Tug-of-war for Amiri

Finally, Arsenal and Tottenham are to “battle it out” for £15m-rated Hoffenheim playmaker Nadiem Amiri, reports The Sun.

The 22-year-old has lost his place in the Hoffenheim side after being sidelined with a foot injury and according to German newspaper Sport Bild the north London duo are ready to rival Schalke for Amiri’s signature.

The Sun says the young midfielder is “open to offers” and adds that Hoffenheim are ready to do business next summer in return for £15m.
