Premier League transfer news and rumours

Barca keen on Richarlison and Kane

Tottenham star Harry Kane is not the only Premier League striker that Barcelona are interested in.

According to the Daily Star the Spanish giants are also looking at Everton forward Richarlison as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez, who turns 32 next month.

Brazilian Richarlison only signed for Everton in a £40m deal from Watford in the summer but the Star says that the Merseysiders “could expect to make a healthy profit should they decide to sell the 21-year-old”.

Ozil off for £25m?

Arsenal are considering selling Mesut Ozil for a cut-price £25m in January. The German playmaker has struggled to get first-team action under Unai Emery and is being linked with Inter Milan. According to reports the Gunners’ patience with Ozil is “wearing thin” and they are keen to get his £350,000-a-week wages off the books. (The Sun)

Messi wants Dembele to stay

Arsenal have been linked with a January move for Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele but his teammate Lionel Messi wants the 21-year-old to remain at the Camp Nou. Barca skipper Messi told reporters: “We need Dembele.” Meanwhile, reports in Spain suggest that Liverpool could also be in the running to sign the Frenchman if the Anfield club meet Barcelona’s asking price. Chelsea will demand a fee of £12m for wing-back Victor Moses. The 27-year-old has struggled to force his way into Maurizio Sarri’s side and it’s expected that Chelsea will sell him in the new year. Crystal Palace and Fulham are “monitoring the situation”. (The Sun)

Clubs chase the ‘new Toni Kroos’

Luiz future in doubt

The Daily Telegraph reports that David Luiz is aiming to stay at Chelsea but the 31-year-old defender wants more than the one-year extension offered to him. The Guardian says the Brazilian could be forced out of Stamford Bridge because of Chelsea’s policy of offering only one-year extensions to players in their 30s.
