Premier League transfer news: Willian, Adrien Rabiot, Jadon Sancho, Timo Werner

The January 2019 transfer window may have closed last Thursday but that does not stop the gossip and rumour mill from continuing.

Summer deals are now the talking point and one player who is making the headlines today is Paul Pogba.

The Manchester United and France star is once again linked with a return to Juventus. The Italian champions want Pogba and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey to be their new midfield partnership.

Willian future uncertain

Brazilian winger Willian is “at loggerheads” with Chelsea over a new contract. It’s reported that Chelsea are only offering a one-year deal but he wants three years. Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the 30-year-old, whose Chelsea contract expires at the end of next season. (The Sun)

Gunners eye Rabiot

Arsenal have joined the race to sign PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The 23-year-old is out of contract in the summer and would be available on a free transfer. Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea are also keen. (The Guardian)

Werner warned about Anfield move

RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick says striker Timo Werner should be wary of joining former team-mate Naby Keita at Liverpool. Rangnick said: “Keita was an outstanding player here, but he’s still struggling in Liverpool.” (Daily Mirror)

Konate scouted

Another in-demand RB Leipzig star is defender Ibrahima Konate. Arsenal scouts have been spotted in Germany watching the French centre-half. Chelsea and West Ham have also been linked. (ESPN via Sport Bild)

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is plotting an £80m summer swoop for two English full-backs. On Guardiola’s target list are Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell and Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. (The Sun)

Bayern to make new move for Hudson-Odoi?

Bayern Munich remain keen on signing Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi. The German giants could make a fresh summer move after failing to land the 18-year-old in January. (The Sun)

United’s £200m kitty

According to reports the next permanent manager of Manchester United will be given a transfer war chest of £200m this summer. Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in the driving seat for the Old Trafford job. (Manchester Evening News)

Sancho’s Manchester return?

If Man Utd do have £200m to spend in the summer could a large portion of that sum go on a deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund? United are keeping tabs on the 18-year-old England winger, who left Manchester City for Dortmund in 2017. (Metro)
