Premier League transfer news and rumours

Suarez to Old Trafford?

Barcelona’s former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is being linked with a sensational move to Manchester United.

This is no April Fool’s joke, says ESPN, with the Suarez-to-Old Trafford rumours being reported by Diario Gol. The Spanish outlet says that United have “contacted” Barca about a potential deal for the 32-year-old Uruguay striker.

Citing Diario Gol’s outlandish report, the Manchester Evening News says it’s a “ridiculous” and “bizarre” tale of transfer gossip.

Ozil’s future is ‘in his hands’

Arsenal boss Unai Emery insists that Mesut Ozil still has a role to play at the club but it’s up to the German to get his career back on track. Emery said: “First, the key in his hands. He’s working very well this week and I asked him in our conversation to be consistent, to be available for training. I said that when you can train with us consistently you can help us with your best performance in the games.” (The Guardian
