Prince Harry this week became the first senior royal to give evidence in court in more than a century, as he took on Mirror Group Newspapers (MGM) over alleged phone hacking.

The Duke of Sussex spent more than eight hours in the witness box over two days, telling the High Court that “abuse, intrusion and hate” from tabloids had caused him “significant distress” over the years and destroyed some of his closest relationships.
