The Queen is the first British monarch to reach a Platinum Jubilee, an occasion set to be marked by the nation with a long weekend of pageantry, parties and flag-waving in the monarch’s honour.

Celebrating 70 years on the throne this year, the Queen has already enjoyed several milestone jubilees that have been met with considerable excitement.
