A woman from Kent, Washington, has been charged with first-degree arson after allegedly setting fire to a local shopping centre. Staff at the Dollar Tree Store told police that Linda Poplawski complained there were no shopping trolleys available, before stating that she would burn down the store. She then allegedly went to the greeting card aisle before returning and announcing "the store is on fire". The blaze took 24 hours to extinguish and destroyed six businesses.
Pensioner moons woman over spurned advances
A 78-year-old Houston man has been arrested after "mooning" a 29-year-old woman who refused to have sex with him. According to the police report, Robert Scott approached the woman while she was eating her lunch and asked if he could take her out for dinner because she "looked like a model". When the woman refused, Scott dropped his trousers and bared his bottom at her.
Woman arrested in 'sex for nachos' sting
Detroit police arrested a woman on charges of solicitation after she negotiated to have sex with an undercover officer for "$50 and some nachos". When the officer arrived at the rendezvous point, the woman asked three or four times where the nachos were, before she was arrested.
