Owl swoops in on school's exercise class
Pupils at Liberty High School in Renton, Washington, are ducking for cover during PE after an owl moved into the area where they train. At least one girl has been treated in hospital for cuts to her scalp, after being attacked by the owl during a training run. "It's trying to dive-bomb people. It's kinda crazy," said student Jake Knoblick.
Woman arrested for 'twerking' on car
A woman has been taken into custody after resisting arrest when officers were called to a noise complaint. Police in Gainesville, Florida, say Danielle Lanae Jefferson was dancing to loud rap music and refused to turn it down, choosing instead to twerk on her car. She was issued a citation, which she crumpled up and threw at one officer, leading to her arrest. When questioned, she said she thought the officer was "cute" and wanted to keep him around to "argue" with her a bit longer.
China finds executed man not guilty after 21 years
A Chinese court has found a man not guilty of murder and rape, 21 years after he was executed and more than ten years after another man admitted to the crime. Nie Shubin was 20 when he faced a firing squad, two days after his trial finished.
