Atletico Madrid got their hands on the first European silverware of the season after a thrilling 4-2 Uefa Super Cup victory against rivals Real Madrid.

Held in the Estonian capital Tallinn, the first all-Madrid Super Cup final saw Europa League winners Atletico draw first blood when Diego Costa put them ahead after only 52 seconds.

Karim Benzema’s header and a penalty from Sergio Ramos gave Champions League holders Real the lead, but Costa forced extra-time with his second after 79 minutes.

Diego Simeone’s side then added two more goals in extra-time after world-class finishes from Saul Niguez and Koke.
