Novak Djokovic dances Gangnam Style yet again – video

Novak Djokovic waltzed into the third round of the US Open and could not resist showing off his dance moves after a routine win against Austrian Andreas Haider-Maurer.

The Serbian world number one still had plenty of energy left after the 6-4, 6-1,6-2 victory and during his post-match interview on Arthur Ashe court summoned one particularly vociferous fan from the stands for a dance. The pair ended their impromptu routine in 'I love NY' T-shirts.

The fan is a regular at the tournament and well known for his energetic support, and Djokovic said he had been aware of his presence in the stands for at least five years.

He described the unnamed fan as a "true entertainer" and said: "I'm glad that he came down to the court. It was not planned... Each year I see him in one of my matches, dancing, taking down the layers of the t-shirts. Anyone experiencing a sense of deja vu could be forgiven, and not just because Djokovic's moves were reminiscent of the Gangnam Style dance craze of 2012. The Serbian has a track record when it comes to getting down in public, and usually does so in a Gangnam style.

Djokovic appeared rather less enthusiastic and unsure of the steps when he was required to perform the routine with the ballgirls and boys after winning the China Open in 2012.[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"content_original","fid":"84219","attributes":{"class":"media-image"}}]]

The Serb proved that he is no one-trick pony in early 2013, when he was persuaded to shake his stuff alongside a bellydancer to the accompaniment of the Macarana.
